The Process Engineer is responsible for learning, understanding, and monitoring all processes in the assigned areas as well as training operators within these departments. They will assist with the implementation of new processes as needed, along with providing technical engineering support for processes as required.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years PCB Engineering experience or BA degree.
  • Complete familiarity with Computers and basic software such as excel, power point, word
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, protective glasses, face-shields, aprons, rubber boots, etc.
  • Ability to work within the confines of a room where concentrations of chemicals are located.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds maximum and stand/walk throughout the day.
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours based on company needs.
  • Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced and high-sound environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing lean manufacturing and/or six sigma is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine process audits.
  • Perform chemical lab analysis as assigned by the manager or as needed to verify the chemical concentrations.
  • Continually monitor processes for quality, effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Monitor the process trends in truchem and work proactively to control the process.
  • Set up new processes as needed, create SOP and other documents as required.
  • Work with the Chem lab manager, Plating manager, and maintenance to get the PMs done for the assigned department.
  • Assist with processing/overseeing critical jobs as needed.
  • Follow up with daily quality issues in Manufacturing, resolve them/perform root cause analysis working with the team and provide an update to the manager every morning.
  • Provide engineering support for assigned areas as well as back-up support for any other process as needed.
  • Optimize production processing efficiencies for improvement as needed.
  • Train Operators as needed and document in a timely manner.
  • Be familiar with and enforce all company safety requirements.
  • Inform the manager of any potential problems
  • Ability to wear/work with common forms of rubber and plastic use for PPE.
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds maximum and stand/walk throughout the day.
  • Work extended hours based on company needs and be available to after-hours emergency calls.
  • Manage the truchmen software and implement new processes.
  • Handle new equipment installation in plating and via fill area.
  • Create AutoCAD drawings as assigned by the Manager.
  • Lead engineering projects in plating and via fill and Train Junior Engineers while working with them.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
