About The Position

The Process Engineer designs, implements and continuously improves manufacturing processes that safely produce high quality products on time while meeting customer requirements and applying Lean manufacturing principles. Requirements

  • 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment required; 5+ years preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
  • Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering principles and industry standards.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and engineering-related software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute manufacturing engineering projects related to safety, capital equipment, capacity, tooling, productivity, and quality while partnering with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to support new product launches, production improvements, and other engineering projects.
  • Review product designs, engineering drawings, validation testing, customer-specific requirements, bills of materials (BOMs) and related documentation to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM).
  • Conduct capacity planning and Run-at-Rate studies to validate production readiness and manufacturing capacity.
  • Create and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) documentation with an emphasis on process controls and special process characteristics.
  • Create and maintain production floor layouts, plant layouts, and area plans to support efficient operations and equipment setup.
  • Develop and maintain new manufacturing equipment, tooling, and test equipment, including associated documentation, work instructions, and approval signoffs.
  • Develop and present business cases and cost justifications for capital expenditures and project-related investments.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time by coordinating resources, prioritizing work and resolving project obstacles.
  • Evaluate manufacturing equipment capabilities to ensure product designs and customer requirements can be achieved.
