About The Position

The Process Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing and improving manufacturing and production processes. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing efficient production systems to ensure high-quality output, reduce costs, and increase overall operational efficiency. The Process Engineer will analyze product and equipment specifications, determine design feasibility, and provide technical information related to manufacturing processes. They will also prepare detailed drawings using CAD software, design systems to interface machines, hardware, and software, and direct fabrication and installation activities. Project management responsibilities include creating project plans, monitoring status, and reviewing project documents for completeness and compliance. Additionally, the role involves assisting maintenance and production in troubleshooting equipment problems and modifying equipment to improve reliability and quality. This is an on-site role based out of Meissner's headquarters in Camarillo, CA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in a relevant Engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Proficient with MS Office software including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Working knowledge of a wide variety of software packages, operating systems, and equipment.
  • Strong English Language written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 2 years of working experience in a similar position preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, implementing, and managing efficient production systems.
  • Analyzing product and equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs that can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.
  • Determining feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors.
  • Providing technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations which affect long-range plant and product engineering planning.
  • Conferring with research personnel to clarify or resolve problems and developing designs.
  • Preparing or directing preparation of product or system layout and detailed drawings and schematics using 2-D and 3-D CAD software.
  • Designing products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software.
  • Directing and coordinating fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
  • Creating project plans, which will include but are not limited to, schedules for due dates, testing, analysis, and documentation.
  • Monitoring status of project to ensure documentation is submitted according to schedule and delivery deadlines are met.
  • Reviewing and verifying project documents for completeness, format, and compliance with Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Assisting maintenance and production in troubleshooting existing equipment problems and where applicable, modifying equipment to improve both reliability and quality.
