This role will have multiple responsibilities, primarily focused on the design and construction of a pilot plant facility, followed by its operations. The position is divided into two main phases: Construction and Operations. During the construction phase, the engineer will contribute to Hazardous Operability studies, assist in writing Standard Operating Procedures, manage the construction crew, perform toolbox talks and Hazardous Risk Assessments, maintain project schedules, manage work orders, handle lockouts, confined space entries, occupational hygiene, and receive deliveries. In the operations phase, the engineer will supervise operations and maintenance teams, operate equipment when required, input and manage process data, assist with data analytics, optimize flowsheets, and schedule/manage sample analysis with external laboratories. The role requires working flexible hours, potentially including nightshifts, and is based out of a newly acquired location in Las Vegas, Nevada, requiring relocation.
