About The Position

The role of the Process Engineer is to establish, define and monitor process parameters to ensure the quality of products produced. Based in northern Nova Scotia, just minutes from warm-water beaches and vibrant communities rooted in Scottish culture, Michelin Pictou County is where cutting-edge manufacturing meets quality of life. We produce rubber mixes and key process components for plants across North America, along with passenger car and light truck winter tires for the North American market. Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical awareness and the ability to work comfortably around mechanical equipment.
  • The ability to develop digital tools.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, define and monitor process parameters to ensure the quality of products produced.
  • Take part in quality planning for products, materials, processes and methods.
  • Establish and implement quality standards and ensure compliance.
  • Define and implement corrective and preventative action plans for improvement.
  • Design and carry out tests to evaluate changes with raw materials, equipment, automation and/or overall process.
  • Participate in quality planning, including feasibility studies.
  • Participate in product start-ups and evolutions.
  • Participate in projects and teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Act as a liaison between local and global customers to resolve issues.
  • Support operations by monitoring production quality, performance, and maintenance problems and participating in necessary corrections.
  • Assist in maintaining the product model.
