About The Position

Process Engineers are focused on helping the Company achieve its mission – to be the quality leader in the market. Process Engineers work in a collaborative environment, regularly interacting with operations, engineering, and quality departments, whose work is visible and impacts the plant manager as well as Vice Presidents of Operations, Engineering, and Quality.

Requirements

  • BS in an Engineering discipline required
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Likely have done similar work in a manufacturing, heavy industrial, and/or chemical environment.
  • Commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
  • Innovative and not afraid to ‘push the envelope’ in a responsible manner.
  • Strong desire to achieve real, quantifiable results.
  • Basic understanding of CAD software and techniques.
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and database software.

Nice To Haves

  • BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or Systems Engineering desired
  • PLC programming, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Design experience helpful

Responsibilities

  • Learn, develop, and document work instructions and standard operating procedures at the facility.
  • Implement test method development processes, becoming the expert in sample taking, testing, evaluation, and communication of results, while adapting the corporate framework to the facility's uniqueness.
  • Provide statistical capability analysis to evaluate short-term and long-term equipment capabilities through test method and process capability analysis.
  • Ensure employees are trained and performing tests correctly.
  • Day-to-day monitoring of manufacturing processes by walking the plant floor, understanding processes, and analyzing issues.
  • Assist with identifying solutions and ways to lead to desired goals as you learn the facility and processes.
  • Undergo training on manufacturing processes to a fundamental level by industry experts for personal development.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support team and company goals.
