The Process Engineer plays a critical role in driving process improvements, supporting new product introduction, and ensuring robust quality across manufacturing operations. This hands-on position requires active engagement on the production floor to deeply understand process flows, equipment functionality, and key parameters. Working cross-functionally with operations, R&D, quality, and engineering, the Process Engineer helps coordinate initiatives and acts as a liaison between departments to ensure safe, efficient, and scalable operations.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment
Proven track record of hands-on production floor support
Demonstrated success in leading continuous improvement initiatives and achieving measurable results
Strong cross-functional collaboration and project management abilities
Data-driven problem-solving and analytical skills

Prior experience in chemical, materials, or construction products industries preferred

Responsibilities

Identify and implement best practices, process improvements, and equipment modifications to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
Eliminate waste, improve cycle times, and reduce yield loss across processes.
Lead and support Kaizen events, including planning, facilitation, documentation, and presentation of outcomes to senior leadership.
Develop and maintain sustainment plans to ensure lasting impact from improvement initiatives.
Maintain and train staff on standard operating procedures (SOPs) with the support of operations leadership.
Create and update standard work documentation and time studies to ensure consistent practices and accurate material costing.
Draft and implement capital project plans in collaboration with the Plant Engineer.
Support global operations standardization and consolidation initiatives as required.
Provide hands-on support during product trials, perform manufacturability assessments, and assist in process optimization.
Advise R&D on equipment capability and capacity during the transfer of technologies from development to production scale.
Support investigations into production issues and customer complaints using strong process knowledge to drive root cause analysis and resolution.
Serve as an internal auditor to support compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
