About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity at our Maplewood Facility for a hands-on problem solver who is excited about taking Motus to the NEXT level. The Process Engineer will be responsible for improving manufacturing processes and methods for safety, quality and cost improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Plastics, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, and / or relevant and equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of experience with process manufacturing environment, methods and procedures
  • Statistical analysis abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Improves manufacturing processes and methods for safety, quality and cost improvement.
  • Increases efficiency by analyzing processes to identify and reduce variation.
  • Tests proposed manufacturing methods and processes; confers with material vendors; solicits observations from operators; trains employees in proper methods.
  • Assures product and process quality by testing finished product and process capabilities; establishes standards; confirms manufacturing processes.
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
  • Optimizes processes by statistically analyzing inputs and outputs; follows material vendor's instructions and established procedures; requests special services as needed.
  • Coordinates the launch of new/revised products including: establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
  • Prepares and maintains process documentation.
  • Project manages engineering projects to ensure commitments and deadlines are exceeded.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
