About The Position

The Process Engineer will be responsible for providing performance data for selected machines, communicating action plans, and standardizing KPI definitions, data collection methods, and reporting formats. This role involves developing templates for standard work, operational checklists, and data collection forms. The Process Engineer will facilitate and own the Line Loss Analysis, gather and interpret data on problem issues, maintain trend analysis, and lead root cause problem-solving efforts using appropriate tools. Collaboration with line associates and technical groups on improvement recommendations, and providing regular communication on the status of losses and improvement activities are key aspects of this role. The position also involves participating in and implementing continuous improvement programs to enhance quality, lead-time, and reduce costs, as well as developing and implementing cost-saving strategies without compromising quality or service. Support for data collection and analysis for Operations, including equipment startup and commissioning, and operational efficiency projects is also required. Other duties as assigned will be part of the role.

Requirements

Associate degree in engineering, Supply, Business, or technical field of study with at least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment OR 4 years’ experience in manufacturing at Mars with MSE pillar participation
Extensive experience in Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations and issues.

Responsibilities

Provides performance data for selected machines and communicates action plans and completed work effectively.
Standardize KPI definitions, data collection methods, and reporting formats across departments.
Develop templates for standard work, operational checklists, data collection forms, and equipment settings.
Facilitates and owns the Line Loss Analysis. Gather, interpret, and report data on problem issues. Maintain trend analysis.
Leads root cause problem solving efforts on losses for the line/department. Uses appropriate problem-solving tools (basic and advanced) as needed.
Collaborates with line associates and technical group on improvement recommendations.
Provides regular, ongoing communication with line associates and line managers on status of identified losses and improvement activities.
Participate and implement continuous improvement programs to improve quality, lead-time, and reduce costs.
Participate in continuous improvement programs and activities, develop, and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality or service.
Supports data collection and data analysis activities to support Operations, including equipment startup and commissioning activities (e.g. Site Acceptance Testing) and operational efficiency projects (e.g. Value Leadership cost savings validation).
Other duties as assigned or necessary.
