About The Position

Moog Space and Defense Group is looking for a Process Engineer to join their team. This role involves handling projects related to manufacturing, automation, quality, and continuous improvement. The Process Engineer will support slip ring production departments and outsource vendors, oversee manufacturing process development with a domestic and international team, and manage manufacturing tooling, work instructions, labor standards, facility layout, quotes, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position also includes reviewing and responding to requests for quotes, conducting design reviews, supporting technical problem-solving teams, providing performance reports to management, and engaging in technical discussions with suppliers. The role requires cross-training to support multiple product lines and completing other assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field.
• Engineering experience preferred.
• Experience working in a team environment
• Experience communicating with internal and external customers, coworkers, and other disciplines across the business.

Responsibilities

• Handle projects related to manufacturing, automation, quality, and or continuous improvement or 5S.
• Read and interpret blueprints/drawings.
• Work and maintain confidential information.
• Be the support to the slip ring production departments and Outsource Vendors.
• Oversee the manufacturing process development with a domestic and international team.
• Order and support manufacturing tooling, work instructions, labor standards, facility layout, quotes and continuous improvement.
• Review and respond to request for quotes on new orders.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical manufacturing design reviews and offer improvement suggestions for manufacturability.
• Support technical problem-solving teams.
• Provide reports to management on daily, weekly, and monthly performance to schedules and expenditures
• Support technical exchange discussions with suppliers and Moog.
• Cross-train to support multiple product lines.
• Complete any other tasks as assigned by direct supervisor or operations manager.
