As a Manufacturing Engineer III at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will optimize production processes, implement new technologies, lead technology transfer efforts, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You'll work with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient manufacture of high-quality products while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Requirements

  • Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in regulated industries (pharmaceutical, medical device, or similar). Combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated success implementing process improvements and cost reduction initiatives
  • Experience with designing engineering studies, designing and executing mixing studies, and execution of engineering or feasibility batches
  • Experience supporting engineers and manufacturing technicians
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and relevant engineering software
  • Must be able to work in cleanroom environments when required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with risk assessment methodologies and root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Expertise in design of single-use-systems, PUPSIT assemblies, aseptic filling technologies, technology transfers, and change control management

Responsibilities

  • Manage process improvement projects, technology transfer projects, provide technical expertise for new product introductions, and provide technical expertise for deviation investigations.
  • Perform or assist with tech transfer of new products to the site, ensuring smooth transitions from development to full-scale production.
  • Optimize existing processes while ensuring consistent product quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive cost reductions, improve efficiencies, and enhance manufacturing capabilities across our operations.
