We are seeking a highly driven and creative individual to supplement our team at the site in Saraland, Al. In this role they will be responsible for participating in, and leading as required, cross-functional teams to address key business problems – taking known issues and opportunities at the refinery and developing the engineered solution. They will apply appropriate lean manufacturing and quality management methodologies towards process improvement, troubleshooting, and process development. They will serve as a liaison between the Engineering and Execution disciplines, supplying quality basis of design documents to the Capital Project group. Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Technical understanding of design methods (calculations, modeling) Process Safety understanding for safe design (Hazard analysis and equipment operating/design envelope). Interface with Process Safety department on safeguarding and other critical process safety considerations Collaboration through stages of project development- with project idea generator, Ops support engineers, other engineering disciplines, Project Managers, Vendors.
