Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience (casting, ceramics, composites, or similar preferred)
  • Strong understanding of process control and variation reduction
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA, 8D, CAPA)
  • Experience with Process documentation and standardization
  • Experience with Scrap reduction and yield improvement
  • Ability to work on the production floor daily in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related) preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing processes to identify sources of variation and instability
  • Establish and maintain process parameters, standards, and controls
  • Drive consistency in critical processes (mixing, forming, curing, firing, etc.)
  • Implement corrective actions to address process deviations and non-conformances
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting on the production floor
  • Partner with operators and supervisors to resolve process-related issues quickly
  • Support production in meeting daily output and efficiency targets
  • Act as the primary technical resource for process-related challenges
  • Analyze scrap trends and identify root causes of defects (e.g., shrinkage, cracking, dimensional issues)
  • Lead structured problem-solving (8D, root cause analysis) to eliminate repeat issues
  • Develop and implement actions to improve yield and reduce rework
  • Develop, update, and enforce standard work instructions and process documentation
  • Ensure process changes are validated, documented, and sustained
  • Support training of operators on updated processes and standards
  • Track key process metrics (yield, scrap, cycle time, throughput)
  • Utilize data to identify trends and drive decision-making
  • Establish visual controls and reporting for process performance
  • Work with Quality to ensure product meets specifications and customer requirements
  • Partner with Maintenance to address equipment-related process issues
  • Support Engineering initiatives related to process improvements and new methods
