About The Position

The Process Engineer analyzes, investigates, and examines processes throughout manufacturing to reduce defects and facilitate continuous improvement. The Process Engineer also provides support to the chemical mixing area including responsibility for specifying materials, methods, and assists in the training of personnel. The Process Engineer also works on the special projects as assigned by the Quality Manager in support of quality, safety, and improvement goals at Madico Window Films.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• Three to five-years related experience and/or training.
• Trained in Hazard Communications and Hazardous Material Operations Level
• Ability to work with Blueprints and Schematics
• Work with various computer programs
• Formal Application
• Interview with Team Leads and Supervisors
• Drug Screening

• Other engineering disciplines may be considered with satisfactory film manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigates, examines and recommends new equipment, technology, and methods to reduce waste, defects and improve productivity.
• Investigates quality and production problems to determine root causes. Analyzes data and uses advanced problem-solving techniques to recommend and implement solutions.
• Analyzes quality and production data to determine process capabilities, trends, drifts, and shifts. Recommends solutions and implements controls to reduce variation.
• Initiates preventative actions to prevent quality problems before they occur.
• Establishes work procedures to meet production schedules, using knowledge of capabilities of machines and equipment.
• Has the authority to stop or modify work process on non-conforming product or services per Quality Manual Management Responsibility and Authority.
• Provide employee training and compliance with company safety procedures, personal protective equipment requirements and OSHA requirements.
• Responsible for hazardous waste management in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations. Attend company provided annual Haz-Com and Haz-Waste Training.
• Conducts internal audits (quality-related and 5s) as directed by the Quality Manager.
• Completes quality and improvement projects as directed by the Quality Manager.
• The Process Engineer is required to adhere to and assist in enforcing Solamatrix safety guidelines.
• Support to the chemical mixing area including responsibility for specifying materials, methods, and assists in the training of personnel.
• Works on the special projects as assigned by the Quality Manager in support of quality, safety, and improvement goals at Madico Window Films.
