About The Position

The Wirebond Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, sustaining, and troubleshooting wirebond manufacturing processes used in the assembly of microelectronic, hybrid, or semiconductor-based products. This role ensures robust process performance, high yield, and compliance with quality and reliability requirements while supporting production, new product introduction, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering field and 0+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education/training and experience
  • Specialties may include manufacturing, production, industrial, welding, tooling, testing, processing, software, and robotics
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, qualify, and maintain wirebond processes for production and new product introduction.
  • Establish and optimize process parameters for ball bonding and wedge bonding.
  • Support process characterization, DOE activities, and process validation to improve bond quality, yield, and throughput.
  • Involved with the design, development, modification and analysis of products. Troubleshoot and diagnoses problems with existing products and makes modifications and improvements as needed. Compile and evaluate product design and test data. Evaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products. Working knowledge of statistical techniques in development such as Design of Experiments and SPC.
