Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Plastics, Chemical, Mechanical, or related field) preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in plastics manufacturing
  • Proven success in managing and commercializing new products
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with quality systems and processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with injection molding, blow molding, or other plastics processing technologies.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of new product commercialization, from business win to successful launch.
  • Work closely with Product Engineering, Operations, Quality, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Provide guidance throughout the project lifecycle, leveraging knowledge of plastics manufacturing.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure all activities align with agreed upon customer requirements including quality and delivery timing.
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks.
  • Work collaboratively with manufacturing & the customer to resolve technical and operational challenges.
  • Oversee initial production runs to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Provide ongoing technical support after product launch.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Build relationships and influence team members to achieve project goals.
