Process Engineer Intern (Summer 2027)

About The Position
Gain hands-on experience in the steel manufacturing industry while building skills in continuous improvement, quality systems, and operational excellence. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve real-world challenges and improve manufacturing processes. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) summer internship position located in Cleveland, OH, starting in May 2027 and lasting through the summer.
Requirements
- Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Engineering or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Ability to succeed in a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- AutoCAD experience.
Responsibilities
- Support rolling mill projects focused on improving production, quality, and maintenance processes.
- Drive continuous improvement through data collection, process trials, analysis, and standardization.
- Collaborate with team members while taking ownership of self-led improvement projects.
