About The Position

Responsible for driving operational excellence through process optimization, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Principals (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work).
  • Demonstrated success implementing measurable process improvements that increased efficiency, reduced waste, and improved quality.
  • Strong background in root cause analysis, data-driven problem solving, and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute operational excellence initiatives focused on improving safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement across manufacturing operations.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements that reduce waste, improve flow, increase capacity, enhance labor efficiency, and strengthen overall manufacturing performance.
  • Analyze current production processes, material flow, equipment utilization, labor allocation, and process constraints to identify opportunities for cycle time reduction, productivity improvement, and variability reduction.
  • Lead Lean and continuous improvement projects using tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, visual management, line balancing, mistake-proofing, SMED, and daily management systems.
  • Facilitate cross-functional Kaizen events and improvement workshops, ensuring clear problem definition, data-driven analysis, action planning, execution follow-up, and measurable results.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for operational issues, quality deviations, downtime events, scrap, rework, yield loss, and process instability using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Why, fishbone diagrams, Pareto analysis, and A3 thinking.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain corrective and preventive actions that address systemic causes and prevent recurrence of operational and quality issues.
  • Establish, track, and interpret key performance indicators including OEE, productivity, downtime, scrap, rework, labor efficiency, schedule adherence, throughput, and cost improvement metrics.
  • Partner with production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, engineering, and EHS teams to ensure improvements are practical, compliant, sustainable, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Coach and train operators, technicians, supervisors, and cross-functional partners on Lean principles, problem-solving methods, standard work, visual management, and continuous improvement behaviors.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee involvement by engaging shop floor teams in identifying problems, testing solutions, and sustaining improvements.
  • Ensure improvement projects deliver measurable and sustainable results, including cost savings, productivity gains, quality improvements, reduced downtime, improved service levels, and increased operational stability.
