About The Position

Apogee Architectural Metals Position Summary The Process Engineer III serves as a senior technical expert for assigned manufacturing technologies. This role leads complex process improvements, mentors engineers, and supports broader operational and capital initiatives. Key Responsibilities Process Development Serve as SME for assigned for Painting Processes Lead research on new products, processes and methods for Paint processes Lead the development and implementation of process advancement initiatives Paint processes Data Analysis Monitor and analyze operational and process data to identify improvements Implement and utilize process monitoring systems to improve consistency of painting processes Problem Solving Lead complex technical problem-solving initiatives using structured methods Project Management Lead large scale, multi-faceted capital projects using good project management practices Lead new product introductions and process changes Team Collaboration/Mentorship Partner with site leadership to align technical improvements to business needs Mentor junior process engineers in process and project leadership

Requirements

  • Deep technical expertise in manufacturing processes
  • Advanced analytical and structured problem-solving capability
  • Ability to influence operational decisions using data and process knowledge
  • Advanced project management skills using scope, justification, budget and scheduling tools
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability and willingness to mentor junior process engineers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
  • 5-8 years of process engineering experience
  • Minimum of 5-years of experience with liquid paint application processes
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • Demonstrated structured problem solving

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
  • Project management (PMP or PMO) certificate preferred
