As a Process Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing and optimizing manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor manufacturing technologies. You will collect and analyze data, perform hardware characterization, and troubleshoot engineering issues. You'll also measure film properties, generate technical documentation, and engage with customers to resolve concerns. Process Engineers collaborate with vendors and suppliers, and become familiar with implementing new technologies and products. You will experiment, learn, and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the semiconductor and display industries, partnering with our globally recognized R&D teams on state-of-the-art research and development projects. The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining laboratory-scale processes related to semiconductor advanced packaging. This role involves hands-on experimentation, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support advanced packaging technologies such as wafer-level packaging, flip-chip, and 3D integration. A background in lithography process engineering is preferred, with hands‑on experience in semiconductor lithography to support process development and optimization.

Requirements

  • Hands-on semiconductor packaging and/or semiconductor fabrication experiences in academia and/or industry.
  • Expertise on Lithography, Wet chemical etch/ clean, dry film lamination is preferrable.
  • Successful candidates must be eligible to lawfully receive export-controlled information, without the need for the company to seek a license.
  • Furthermore, since the role entails work on a US government funded project, the successful candidate must also be able to meet the government’s requirements for eligibility to participate in the project, without the need for the company to seek an exception/extraordinary approval.
  • The government’s requirements include certain restrictions on nationality and association/affiliation with entities deemed to be of concern.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct lab-based experiments to evaluate and improve advanced packaging processes.
  • Develop, optimize, and sustain photolithography processes for advanced packaging.
  • Design, collect data, analyze and compile reports on a variety of difficult process engineering experiments, within safety guidelines.
  • Perform hardware characterization on a variety of difficult systems, within safety guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot a variety of complex problems, perform Root Cause Analysis and resolve a variety of difficult process engineering issues
  • Generate internal and external documentation for products, presentations and technical reports
  • Interact with customers to resolve a variety of difficult process engineering issues/problems with limited supervision
  • Measure film properties and interpret data
  • Identify, select and work with vendors and suppliers with limited supervision
  • Implement new technology, products and analytical instrumentation
