We're looking for a driven, technically sharp Process Engineer II or III to join our team and make a measurable impact on our manufacturing operations. You'll serve as a key technical leader on the floor and in the boardroom — solving complex manufacturing challenges, driving continuous improvement, and building a culture of process excellence.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of packaging/manufacturing operations, equipment, and material flow systems
  • Advanced SPC, control charts, reliability modeling, and fault tree analysis
  • DMAIC, A3 methodology, 5S, value stream mapping, waste elimination
  • Real-time mechanical & electrical problem-solving in a converting environment
  • Vibration analysis, oil monitoring, thermography, and condition monitoring tools
  • Cost-benefit analysis, ROI calculations, and capital investment justification
  • Multi-project management with ability to influence without direct authority
  • ERP systems, manufacturing execution systems, data analysis tools
  • Technical report writing, SOP development, and executive-level presentations
  • Risk assessment planning, change management, and organizational resilience
  • Background in packaging or process manufacturing environments
  • Proven track record in continuous improvement and waste reduction
  • Must be 18+ and pass pre-employment screening.
  • Internal candidates must demonstrate Core Values and be in good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the go-to technical expert for complex press operation issues and advanced process optimization, including support of continuous manufacturing operations, development of production recipes, and process standardization to improve quality, waste, and productivity.
  • Leverage SPC, DMAIC, Six Sigma, DOE, and root cause analysis methodologies to analyze trends, reduce process variation, and identify quantifiable cost-savings opportunities that improve operational performance.
  • Manage cross-functional improvement initiatives from concept through sustainment across Quality, Maintenance, Production, and Product Development, including equipment evaluation, selection, commissioning, startup, and capital project execution.
  • Develop and maintain SOCs, SOPs, operating procedures, and troubleshooting documentation to ensure consistent, reliable manufacturing performance and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with Sales, Product Development, and Operations to support new business onboarding, technology changes, new process development, and product/tooling design improvements.
  • Lead trials for advanced process improvements and new technology implementation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and operators; deliver impactful training programs.
  • Oversee equipment reliability, predictive maintenance programs, repair/replace decisions, equipment upgrades, and maintenance strategies that improve uptime and operational effectiveness.
  • Analyze plant performance, recommend cost-reduction initiatives, support budget performance objectives, and coordinate continuous improvement efforts that deliver measurable business results.
  • Support ISO, Food Safety, and EHS standards throughout all engineering activities.
  • Manage capital projects, and serve as primary interface with equipment and tooling suppliers (for Process Engineer III candidates).
