About The Position

Applied Materials' Advanced Project Development Department is searching for a co-op to join our team! Our work involves developing and optimizing process for the next generation of semiconductor product that is in use by leading companies across the world. The position will entail assisting with laboratory plating demonstrations, which includes tool preparation, processing wafers, measuring wafers, and documentation. The co-op will also lead small development projects involving wafer metrology and support process engineering through procurement, shipping, and inventory functions.

Requirements

  • Student must be currently enrolled in a Doctorate (or Master's) degree program in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field
  • Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
  • Quick learner

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in semiconductor processing or manufacturing preferred
  • Experience in programming (C/C++, Matlab, Python) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with laboratory plating demonstrations, to include: tool preparation, processing wafers, measuring wafers, documentation.
