The Process Engineer, Cell Manufacturing will execute and oversee cell manufacturing processes, including setup, operation, and monitoring of equipment in electrode, assembly, and formation. This role serves as the subject-matter expert for formation process execution and standard work, identifying abnormal process behavior and taking immediate corrective action to protect product quality and safety. The engineer will troubleshoot complex process and equipment issues affecting yield, throughput, or safety, diagnosing manufacturing-related failures using data trends, equipment feedback, and historical knowledge. They will ensure strict adherence to SOPs, work instructions, and quality requirements, maintaining accurate production, batch, and deviation records, and supporting quality investigations. Collaboration with manufacturing team members on process changes, trials, and scale-up activities is key, as is providing floor-level input into process design and equipment changes. The role also involves training and mentoring junior technicians, acting as a technical reference, and promoting a disciplined, safety-focused, and quality-driven culture. Championing safety practices related to high-energy systems, electrical equipment, and chemical handling, and identifying/mitigating hazards are also crucial responsibilities.
