About The Position

Objective of job: Optimization of productivity and quality for production processes installed in the Duncan Plant. Implementation of new processes as part of the industrialization process. Principal Activities: Increase efficiency and reduce cycle times of production process within area of responsibility by optimizing process parameters or equipment Eliminate manufacturing waste through process optimization. (time, scrap, effort, etc.) Establish and maintain machine and process capability for production processes within area of responsibility Assist production and maintenance in isolating complex manufacturing issues within area of responsibility, material, or machine functionality related Create, maintain and update production documentation (Process Data Sheets, Work Instructions, P-FMEA, Re-Release Sheets, etc.) as required by IATF 16949 within area of responsibility Cooperate with Process Development and Corporate Process Engineering teams in optimizing and deveoping process improvements and new production processes Validate process and product characteristics (CC’s, SC’s and IC’s) as defined by Product Development, Process Development or Quality Department Establish reference and boundary samples in cooperation with Product Development, Process Development and Quality for production processes within area of responsibility Support Equipment Planner in defining process-specific input (acceptance criteria, quality requirement, etc.) for Requirement Manuals for new production equipment Review engineering change requests (ECR) and give feedback for implementation cost Investigate new technologies to enable DAA to stay competitive in Automotive Manufacturing Define and manage various plant level improvment projects related to the area of responsibility Other duties as assigned by management to ensure optimal plant performance Some travel is required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 1 to 2 years of knowledge with JIT Principles
  • 1 to 2 years of Automated Manufacturing
  • 1 to 2 years of Plastic Processing, Continuous Improvement and Analytical Troubleshooting experience
  • Some travel is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with 2D and 3D Modeling Software is desired.
  • Knowledge with Industrial Automation and Controls is a plus.
