About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer 1 to join our team. This entry-level role is suitable for recent graduates or individuals with up to 5 years of engineering experience. The Process Engineer 1 will assist in the design and development of new production lines, suggest enhancements such as jigs, and focus on improving production line efficiency, quality, and ergonomics. Additionally, this role is responsible for defining production line processes and coordinating effectively between production groups. Document control is a crucial aspect of this position to ensure accurate records and seamless communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • 0 – 5 years of engineering experience
  • Ability to use Microsoft product software.
  • Talented, highly motivated individual with good engineering judgment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to guide and influence others.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Answers to Engineering Manager NAP.
  • Must be able to accurately receive and understand instructions from supervisor to determine if further instruction is required before attempting to complete the task assigned.
  • In constant communication with other departments.
  • It is essential that the employee is able to work with all employees of the RAE team and shows a spirit of cooperation with others in the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • HVACR experience is preferred but not required.
  • FE license preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up production lines and suggesting jigs to enhance efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment.
  • Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
  • Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
  • Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes.
  • Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness.
  • Train production personnel in new or existing equipment design.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify ergonomic improvements and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain document control by accurately recording process changes, updates, and revisions.
  • Coordinate between production groups to streamline operations and optimize workflow.
  • Ensure transparent communication between management and employees regarding company policies, decisions, and changes.
  • Read current literature, talk with colleagues, participate in educational programs, attend meetings, attend workshops, or participate in professional organizations or conferences to keep abreast of developments in the manufacturing and HVACR field.
  • Attend work as outlined in Employee Handbook and/or specified by your supervisor.
  • Complete other tasks as directed by the supervisor.
  • Comply with government regulations, laws, company policies, and company procedures.
