About The Position

GE Healthcare designs imaging technologies that help surgeons make critical decisions. Our imaging platforms, procedure-specific transducers, and user-focused software enable visualization of anatomy, guide interventions, and support real-time navigation during procedures. Our goal is to elevate the standard of care through real-time visual guidance. Our Surgical Visualization and Guidance business, delivers these capabilities directly in the operating room, empowering surgeons when it matters most. At our State College site, teams design, manufacture, and service diagnostic medical ultrasound transducers (probes) used across a wide range of clinical applications including surgery, urology, cardiology, and radiology. As a high-mix, low-volume, regulated manufacturing environment, the site combines advanced engineering, precision manufacturing, and lifecycle support to deliver critical imaging technology that enables clinicians to make real-time decisions in patient care. This role focuses on developing and validating concepts using scientific and engineering methods. The objective is to demonstrate feasibility and performance through testing and analysis. The individual works under close supervision, following established procedures within a structured framework.
