About The Position

At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. We are seeking a Process Development Engineer I to join our Purification Development team within Preclinical Manufacturing and Process Development (PMPD) in an on-site capacity. In this role, you will develop, build, and deploy analyses, visualizations, and data solutions that support purification process development, working at the intersection of software engineering, data science, and bioprocess domain expertise, while collaborating with scientists and process engineers across Purification's varied subgroups. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline with 0-3 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in bioprocess development, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or a closely related domain
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop data tools to solve complex, real-world problems
  • Programming skills in Python and SQL, with an understanding of data modeling and database design
  • Experience working in Linux/Unix environments and using Git for version control and collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with scientists, engineers, and analysts to understand purification development workflows and identify high-impact opportunities to improve data flows
  • Aggregate, clean, and structure complex datasets to enable scalable, repeatable analyses and visualizations
  • Design, develop, and apply statistical and modeling techniques to drive data-informed decision-making and accelerate daily operations
  • Deploy data pipelining and aggregation tools that help engineers easily find the data they need and derive insights
  • Maintain communication with Purification and IT stakeholders to evaluate solutions
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers across PMPD to improve best practices and teach citizen developers
  • Enhance, maintain, and extend existing analytics tools and platforms to support new use cases and evolving business needs
  • Contribute as an active member of Agile teams within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), supporting planning, delivery, and continuous improvement
