About The Position

At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. We are seeking a Process Development Associate to join our Cell Culture Development Group within Preclinical Manufacturing and Process Development (PMPD), supporting early-stage development in a non-GMP process development laboratory. In this role, you will develop production processes for monoclonal antibodies by screening top candidates, selecting cell lines, and developing media and feeds while collaborating with cell line development, purification, analytics, and manufacturing teams. Requirements

  • BS or MS in Chemical Engineering or Bio-related Engineering with 0-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and record-keeping abilities to accurately record, analyze, and document development data
  • Strong initiative and drive to complete ambitious tasks and learn new technologies
  • You work well both independently and in a team, balancing multiple projects at once
  • Contribute to lab equipment maintenance and safety to keep a safe, effective, and efficient working environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with mammalian cell culture
  • Experience developing fed-batch bioreactor processes, including optimizing feeding strategies and evaluating cell culture media and feed formulations
  • Experience with ambr250 and with statistical design and analysis software (e.g., JMP)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop cell culture studies from shaker flasks to single-use and glass bench-scale bioreactors (2L to 15L)
  • Screen top-tier antibody candidates, select cell lines, and develop media and feed formulations
  • Prepare media, feeds, buffers, and reagents, and operate and maintain bioreactor and analytical equipment
  • Analyze data statistically and manage critical data in a highly organized manner
  • Partner with colleagues in cell line development, scale-up, purification, analytics, and manufacturing
  • Author development reports, document your work, and review manufacturing records
  • Support technology transfer through written process transmittals, troubleshooting, and on-site support for manufacturing campaigns in Albany, NY
