Process Control Technician
About The Position
Turning process intelligence into safe, reliable performance. This role serves as the onsite subject-matter expert for PLC and DeltaV systems, including programming, design, and troubleshooting. The technician will troubleshoot plant issues related to PLCs, control logic, instrumentation, wiring, and cables. They will also integrate and simulate equipment such as solenoid and servo valves, electromechanical actuators, pressure transducers, RTDs, thermocouples, and scale integrators. Additionally, the role involves designing and supporting electrical control and power systems, and partnering with Operations to improve the efficiency and reliability of plant and pumping-station operations. A working knowledge of Allen-Bradley ControlLogix processors, Ethernet, fiber optics, Wonderware HMI programming, VFDs, PID controllers, and power distribution is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least five years of industrial maintenance experience involving electrical troubleshooting and repair, PLCs, and instrumentation.
- Fluent understanding of three-phase power supplies, feeders, and current-limiting devices.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
