About The Position

Provide support for the PI Reclaim department with a specific focus on the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the PI Reclaim Dept.

Requirements

  • Must be able to locate all equipment (pumps, vessels, valves, etc.) in the field in order to troubleshoot and correct problems.
  • Inspect and operate a fork truck.
  • Have an understanding of P I Dept equipment shutdown and start-up procedures.
  • Locking and tagging of equipment for maintenance and construction.
  • Be able to handle emergency situations: (Power outages, furnace outages, and instrument air malfunction).
  • Attend shift communication huddles and make a good information exchange.
  • Comply with procedures found in SMS.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all environmental procedures and programs.
  • Take readings and check levels on PI support equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining condenser lines: cleaning of condensers which includes daily water flushes, perform maintenance as necessary which also includes pulling & cleaning condenser tubes, inspect the completed job, inspect and clean the port holes and condenser catch pots, monitor coolant (glycol) levels in chillers and refill as needed.
  • Extruder /Screen Changers: Clean vent(s) as needed, clean extruder catch pots, clean /replace screens and hoses, change screens on all screen changers as necessary. Record changes in change log.
  • Troubleshoot the steam vacuum system as needed.
  • Troubleshoot P I Reclaim for issues that may arise.
  • Stage/move waste containers to appropriate location.
  • Perform maintenance on P I Reclaim equipment, as necessary.
  • Successfully start-up/ string-up/ shutdown pelletizer and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Take necessary action to contain any off - quality material (viscosity, color, etc ).
  • Keep reliable and up to date records on all P I Reclaim equipment.
  • Perform daily assignments and housekeeping.
  • Clean and replace dust collectors and filters for cooling silo, vacuum pumps and dust collectors as needed to allow for optimal performance.
  • Must be able to locate all equipment (pumps, vessels, valves, etc.) in the field in order to troubleshoot and correct problems.
  • Evaluate P I reclaim conditions and make process corrections or changes as needed to maintain operation and performance.
  • Collect color samples and test every hour and enter into quality form.
  • Properly fill out the entire reading sheet.
  • Load PI tankers as needed.
  • Cover material handler job functions as needed.
  • Inspect and operate a fork truck.
  • Assist on P I Dept PMs, outages and overhauls.
  • Fill out change log during shift.
  • Weigh out/print out waste labels for waste boxes.
  • Have an understanding of P I Dept equipment shutdown and start-up procedures.
  • Locking and tagging of equipment for maintenance and construction.
  • Be able to handle emergency situations: (Power outages, furnace outages, and instrument air malfunction).
  • Attend shift communication huddles and make a good information exchange.
  • Comply with procedures found in SMS.
  • Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times. Work overtime as needed.
