This position requires the individual to assist in design, development, implementation, testing, startup and commissioning of process control system automation and operational improvement projects. This involves knowledge of appropriate industry standards and best practices around control system configuration, alarm management, and modern control systems graphic design. Core responsibilities: Assist and support configuration efforts for the DeltaV product suite: DeltaV DCS, DeltaV SIS, DeltaV Live, DeltaV MiMiC and DeltaV AgileOps Control Strategy Design for Basic Process Control and Safety Instrumented Systems. Control System Programming, Logic Testing and Simulation, Customer Acceptance Testing. Design, configure, and test HMI graphics in alignment with customer specifications and project deliverables. Learn advanced control system software and control strategy design. Assist and/or lead advanced process control projects from inception through execution and project completion. Configure and support development of operator training systems (OTS) to include scenario development and process modelling. Study industrial processes in order to model feedback into control systems for simulation, testing, and optimization. Assist in the facilitation of alarm rationalization workshops and support alarm rationalization project efforts through software enablement. Configure and optimize alarm management systems to implement rationalized alarm settings and ensure seamless integration with control systems. Develop custom dashboards and reports for integrating control system data, such as alarms, device data, key metrics, control system performance with existing and freeform software solutions, such as AspenTech Inmation, AMS Optics, PowerBI, Zapier, etc. Assist customers by developing custom reports for tracking of alarming metrics. Assist project managers with technical activities related to the success of assigned projects. Assist sales efforts by engaging with customers as a technical resource. Some travel and overnight stays will be required and will vary depending on assigned tasks. Typical travel time is 2-3 nights, within 1-4 hours from home office. Travel time and length fluctuates based upon specific nature of services delivered. Ability to work overtime, including some weekends and/or holidays. Ability to work some shift-work, including night-shifts, if assigned. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to drive a company-provided vehicle if assigned.
