About The Position

ArcelorMittal Global Research & Development Center is seeking a highly skilled, results-driven, and motivated process control engineer to join our global R&D team in developing and implementing process control systems for steel manufacturing processes, particularly in casting, flat rolling, and finishing processes including continuous casting, hot strip mills, cold strip mills, batch annealing, temper mills, and continuous hot dip coating lines. You will be evaluating our existing manufacturing processes, analyzing process data, developing process control strategies and solutions, and implementing them in our manufacturing facilities. Using Digital tools and AI-based models for Process Control will be a key responsibility. The prospective candidate will work independently and collectively with project teams to develop Process Control solutions by using advanced tools and technologies. The job will be based at Calvert but will support ArcelorMittal North American plants. Projects will have a global perspective where interaction with other ArcelorMittal R&D laboratories or plant personnel is expected. Prospective candidate is expected to coordinate planning, budgeting, scheduling, and identifying resources required for project execution. A high level of technical competency, teamwork, project management skills, and excellent interpersonal skills are required for being successful in this position. Travel, both domestic and international, is a requirement of the position.
