About The Position
ProHealth Care is seeking a Process and Instrument Tech to join their team. This role is responsible for processing medical and non-medical supplies used in patient care, including decontamination, cleaning, disinfecting, assembly of procedure sets and equipment, and sterilization according to policies and procedures. The position also involves the transportation of needed equipment to and from its place of use. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent or 5+ years similar experience.
Nice To Haves
- Additional education in central services preferred.
- Certification as a Registered Central Services Technician preferred.
- Experience in sterile processing/central service preferred.
Responsibilities
- Processes medical and non-medical supplies used in patient care.
- Duties including decontamination, cleaning, disinfecting, assembly of procedure sets and equipment.
- Wrapping items to be sterilized, and sterilization as policies and procedures indicate.
- Decontaminates, cleans, processes, assembles and sterilizes medical/surgical devices used in patient care.
- Transportation of needed equipment to/from its place of use.
