Your Mission
Reporting to the Site Director in Deer Park, TX, the Process and Data Engineer is a newly created, high-visibility role in the Operations / Analytics department designed to bridge operational efficiency with advanced analytics. Your primary purpose is to design, develop, and deploy decision support systems that contribute to the organization becoming a more data-driven company.

Requirements

• Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Engineering or Data Science are required
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
• 3+ years in Python software development and data science libraries
• Extensive experience and mandatory proficiency in Snowflake and Power BI
• Previous experience facilitating and managing process improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
• Experience with CI/CD processes and tooling, as well as database systems management
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and regulatory documents
• Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)

Responsibilities

• Abide by and promote all safety procedures, champion safety, and participate in required safety training.
• Design and develop automated data science pipelines, predictive models, and retraining systems within multi-disciplinary agile teams.
• Manage a portfolio of process improvement initiatives and efficiency projects across all terminal departments.
• Apply Six Sigma techniques (DMAIC) and Lean tools (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, 5S) to optimize workflows, eliminate waste, and reduce process variation.
• Establish, trend, and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure improvement effectiveness and review progress during operational meetings.
• Spearhead Data Stewardship Management, establishing frameworks for data integrity, standardization, and governance for all operational metrics.
• Execute CI/CD activities and manage the localization and implementation of data models.
• Integrate data-driven insights into the Management of Change process and actively participate in the commissioning of new projects.
• Collaborate with the Terminal Senior Leadership Team on strategy building workstreams to align advanced analytics with long-term goals.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets for technical projects, encompassing both expenses and capital allocations.
