About The Position

We are currently seeking a Process Analyst to join our Mill Technical Services team in Voisey’s Bay, Labrador, a fly-in fly-out operation. This is a permanent on-site position, working a two week on two week off rotation at our Voisey’s Bay Mine Site. As a Process Analyst, you will be supporting the operations team by assisting in process troubleshooting, collecting and analyzing plant data, carrying out QC checks on the production accounting sample systems and calibrating the on-stream analyzers to meet the needs of the operation.

Requirements

  • Process Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 18 months experience in a mineral processing facility and/or lab-based role.
  • Hands-on and proactive engagement in field activities.
  • Ability to perform standard laboratory procedures safely, correctly and efficiently.
  • Basic knowledge to develop mass balances.
  • Computer skills (MS Office Suite, PI Vision, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Check and prepare daily mill production accounting samples, collect and process daily samples and monthly composites.
  • Conduct bench-scale and plant-scale tests, along with sampling surveys, to support metallurgical development and process optimization efforts.
  • Carry out QA/QC checks on all sampling systems.
  • Implement the 5S program and maintain the organization of the Metallurgical Laboratory (MET Lab).
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on the on-stream analyzers, and stock spare parts.
  • Provide process monitoring and troubleshooting support to assist operators in running and optimizing the process.
  • Provide temporary relief to the metallurgist for vacation.
