About The Position

Keystone Powdered Metal Company seeks a full-time Process Analyst for the 3rd shift at its Cherryville, North Carolina location. The position reports to the Quality Manager and supports production quality through inspection, testing, measurement, documentation, and communication of results. The role involves gathering production samples, preparing and evaluating metallurgical samples, and performing incoming inspection and testing as needed. The analyst is expected to follow departmental priorities, work with associated groups, comply with health and safety guidelines, and perform other tasks as required.

Requirements

Read and interpret blueprints for setup.
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
Have excellent math skills.
Have productivity computer skills.
Have hands-on experience with gauging and measuring devices.
Demonstrate the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Understand and apply SPC and interpret graphs for trends.
Evaluate metallurgical microstructures.
Demonstrate knowledge of safe laboratory practices.

Responsibilities

Accurately check production submissions to the Quality Lab.
Gather appropriate samples from the production floor for analysis according to the inspection plan.
Perform hands-on measurement of products and samples.
Prepare metallurgical samples, conduct testing, and interpret results.
Communicate quality results to appropriate manufacturing personnel and supervisors.
Accurately and legibly record or input results.
Hand off Quality Lab issues to team members on other shifts.
Enter inspection and test results as needed.
Prioritize work according to departmental guidelines.
Work compatibly with associated groups.
Perform incoming inspection and testing as needed.
Comply with company health and safety guidelines.
Perform other tasks as required.
