About The Position

The Department for Aging and Independent Living provides services for the aged and physically disabled populations across the state. The Department is charged with assisting individuals in obtaining needed home and community-based care and services to prevent premature admission into a long-term care facility. The goal of the departments programs is to assist individuals with remaining in their own home for as long as possible. The Department is currently seeking a high energy, self-motivated individual with the desire to assist the Division in supporting the departments goals.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • Three years of professional experience in public or business administration, political science, statistics, policy analysis, economics, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in public or business administration, political science, statistics, policy analysis, economics, or a related field will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with aging network partners to support coordinated service delivery.
  • Develops and implements operational policies and procedures and provides training to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Monitors provider contracts to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations.
  • Provides expert assistance in analyzing federal and state laws and regulations to determine impacts on the Department for Aging and Independent Living’s (DAIL) programs as required by the Older Americans Act (OAA) and applicable state statutes and regulations.
  • Responds to complex inquiries requiring in-depth research of program policy.
  • Performs other duties as required.
