Requirements

H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
AHS BLS Certification

Responsibilities

Performs patient and non-patient functions under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse.
Performs a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s).
Inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, maintaining operating room equipment, positioning patients, and patient preparation for procedure.
Assists with case cart preparation if needed.
Assists in maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly procedural environment.
Transports patients as required.
Functions as an integral member of the operating room team and contributes to maintaining a safe, professional, respectful and effective patient care environment.
