About The Position

Vibra Hospital of Northern California, located in Redding, CA, is a 50 bed Critical Care Hospital and a 32 bed SNF providing long-term acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. Requirements

  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • Special procedures/IV sedation experience preferred.
  • PICC, Mid-Line and IJ certification preferred.
  • Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing technically complex and high risk nursing care services to patients which may include one or more of the following categories: conscious sedation, intravenous infusions, lumbar puncture, endoscopy procedures, central line placement, hemodialysis line placement, and interventional radiology procedures.
  • This may also include specialized monitoring during procedure and recovery phase.
  • Responsible for providing the planning and delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and patient advocacy as it applies to the patient undergoing designated procedures.
  • Will identify the plan of care, provide education, and complete discharge planning and instructions for the patient.
  • Will communicate with the medical staff continuously about patient condition.
  • Will assist with maintaining equipment and inventory, and participating in performance improvement activities.
  • Will ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements, and nursing and hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
