About The Position

The University of Oregon InfoGraphics Lab seeks to establish a pool of qualified candidates for Pro Tem Research positions. Researchers contribute to interdisciplinary work at the intersection of cartography, data visualization, and spatial analysis. Projects examine questions related to space and place across the environmental sciences, social sciences, and humanities, producing scholarly and public-facing visualizations that advance research and science communication. These are funding-contingent, part-time, limited-duration appointments that may be renewable for up to a total of three years, depending on programmatic need, funding, and performance. Applications are reviewed as positions become available and until positions are filled. The InfoGraphics Lab is a hybrid research and practice center within the College of Arts and Sciences. It conducts interdisciplinary collaborative projects with research partners at the University of Oregon, state agencies, and other universities. The Lab has 10–15 employees, including faculty, undergraduate students, and graduate students, and provides students with experiential learning opportunities through real-world projects.
