About The Position
The Pro Shop Attendant plays a vital role in enhancing the overall experience of customers at a golf course or sports facility by providing exceptional service and expert product knowledge. This position is responsible for managing daily operations within the pro shop, including sales, inventory management, and customer assistance. The ideal candidate will ensure that all visitors receive personalized attention, helping them select appropriate equipment, apparel, and accessories to meet their needs. Additionally, the Pro Shop Attendant supports event coordination and maintains the shop’s appearance to create a welcoming environment. This role contributes to the facility’s reputation by fostering customer satisfaction and promoting a positive, professional atmosphere.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic experience in retail or customer service environments.
- Ability to operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

- Previous experience working in a golf pro shop or sporting goods retail environment.
- Knowledge of golf equipment, apparel, and terminology.
- Familiarity with inventory management software.
- CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with product selection, providing detailed information on golf equipment, apparel, and accessories.
- Manage sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handle cash and credit payments responsibly.
- Maintain inventory levels by restocking merchandise, conducting regular inventory counts, and coordinating with suppliers for orders.
- Ensure the pro shop is clean, organized, and visually appealing to enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Support the coordination and execution of golf events and tournaments by assisting with registrations and merchandise sales.
- Answer customer inquiries both in-person and over the phone, providing knowledgeable and courteous service.
- Collaborate with management to develop promotional strategies and special offers to increase sales and customer engagement.
