About The Position
Sapona Golf Swim and Tennis Club, located in Lexington, North Carolina, is seeking a part-time, seasonal Pro Shop Attendant to join their team. This role focuses on creating a positive experience for guests and members by assisting with inside services, maintaining the clubhouse and pro shop, and supporting tournament and outing operations. The attendant will handle customer interactions, manage transactions, schedule tee times, and assist with food and beverage activities as needed. This is a fun and casual career opportunity within a large golf course management company.
Requirements
- Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Regularly stands, walks and sits.
- Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels.
- Frequently uses hands to finger feel or handle; reaches with arms.
- Frequently talks and hears.
- Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Assists with the overall upkeep of the clubhouse and pro shop.
- Assists in the setup and execution of golf tournaments and outings.
- Provides sincere and courteous service to all guests.
- Responsibly and accurately handles cash and or credit cards.
- Supports business operations though scheduling tee times, resolving customer concerns and selling merchandise.
- Assists in educating players regarding course policy, current cart policy, speed of play and so forth.
- May direct start of play.
- Maintains accurate records of golfers renting clubs.
- Assists with food and beverage activities as needed.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Any other duties as assigned by direct manager/supervisor.
