About The Position

To identify, develop, oversee, and maintain successful relationships with key customers and personnel at Home Depot in a manner that maximizes sales of the American Woodmark portfolio of products and services to Home Depot Pro customers. The Pro Sales Territory is Atlanta, GA. This role requires a proven track record in sales with up to 3 years of successful sales or new business development experience. An undergraduate degree is preferred, but experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience with Professional Contractors or within Project Management is preferred, and kitchen and bath cabinet experience including product knowledge is a plus. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in sales, communication, planning, organization, and problem-solving, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ideally Salesforce CRM. The role involves identifying, developing, and implementing strategies to enhance relationships and drive sales growth, managing sales and services for Pro customers in the assigned territory, and planning and executing new Pro business development. It also includes developing business relationships with clients and Outside Sales Representatives (OSR), working with the existing field sales team, managing time and priorities effectively, developing and managing marketing and travel expenses, resolving customer concerns, conducting competitive analysis, and reporting on market insights. The position requires achieving sales, expense, and quality targets, executing OSR call strategies, managing customer relationships, implementing marketing programs, organizing events, mediating service and warranty issues, monitoring territory metrics, and promoting a team environment. The role aligns with American Woodmark policies and culture and typically does not have supervisory responsibilities. The territory covers the established Region(s) and reports to the Pro Sales Manager. Travel requirements include up to 60% in and out of town travel, typically by company car and commercial air carrier. Offices will often be out of a private home, and hours will vary as necessitated by business. The recruitment process may consist of phone, video, and in-person interviews. Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands and arms, and occasionally sit. Must be able to lift 50 pounds overhead. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Offers may be contingent upon successful completion of a Background Check, Drug Screen, Physical Examination, and/or Motor Vehicle Check.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in sales with up to 3 years of successful sales or new business development experience

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret graphs and diagrams.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, or hear.

  • Must have valid driver's license and no record of previous suspensions/revocations within the last 3 years, along with no more than 3 moving violations in the last year.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and implement a strategy that results in enhanced relationships between Home Depot and their Pro customers resulting in incremental sales growth for American Woodmark Pro products
  • Responsible for sales and services related to Pro sales in assigned territory
  • Responsible for all new Pro business development planning and execution
  • Develop business relationships with client territory and Outside Sales Representatives (OSR)
  • Work with existing field sales team to grow overall understanding and identify Pro sales opportunities
  • Demonstrate and utilize effective time management and priority selling skills to maximize productivity and call efficiency
  • Develop and manage marketing, travel, and entertainment costs to maximize the growth of territory sales
  • Diagnose, resolve, and communicate customer concerns and resolutions regarding service and warranty issues
  • Conduct comparative analysis on competitor designs and quotes to convert potential sales
  • Gain understanding of competitors within the marketplace and provide reporting back in terms of product, pricing, and promotions
  • Achieve sales, expense, and transactional quality targets
  • Develop and execute OSR call strategies
  • Maintain and Manage business relationships with key customers
  • Execute marketing programs and promotions
  • Organize and participate in Managed Account Events (MAE) within territory
  • Mediation of service and warranty issues
