This position involves evaluating and treating patients who require speech-language-swallowing therapy. The role encompasses providing coordinated and comprehensive patient care, including conducting assessments, establishing expected outcomes, and implementing rehabilitation interventions within an interdisciplinary team framework. Key responsibilities include evaluating speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive-linguistic needs, developing and executing treatment programs, and documenting all treatments in accordance with departmental policies. The Speech-Language Pathologist will also assess patient responses to therapy, contribute to the Performance Improvement program of the Rehabilitation Services department, and may be involved in supervising graduate assistants, interns, students, and volunteers. For facilities with specialty accreditation, annual required education must be completed.
