About The Position

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is a Magnet Hospital awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The Postpartum/Nursery Unit offers family-centered maternity care with 41 recently renovated private-bed rooms. The unit provides couplet care by highly educated registered nurses and skilled support staff, with a 24/7 nursery staffed by newborn care specialists. Physician experts in maternal/fetal medicine offer around-the-clock consultations for high-risk mothers, and 24/7 neonatology care is available in the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. As an RN on this team, you will assist in delivering exceptional care by interacting directly with patients, families, and visitors, enhancing their experience and supplying healthcare information as needed. This position requires an empathetic, understanding, and nurturing caregiver to ensure quality patient care and effective life-saving treatment.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Successfully pass all prescreen competency assessments
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within one year of hire
  • External candidates: two years of recent related nursing experience
  • Internal candidates with less than two years of experience, but are post-orientation/90-day probationary period, may be considered with CNO level review and approval
  • Licensed military RN experience will be considered

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
  • ICU Med/Surg experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
