The 23-bed Neuro Medical Telemetry Unit cares for patients with varying neurological needs. As an RN Resident on the team, you will deliver exceptional care alongside a coach, throughout the patient care journey. This department offers a great environment in which to learn and strengthen your skills in IVs, NGTs, cardiac drips and stroke care, preparing you for a higher level of care in the ICU, CCU or ED. Here, you can take part in leader courses, earn additional certifications and climb the clinical ladder. A PRN caregiver in this position works varying nights from 7:00PM – 7:30AM.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- External applicants: two years of recent related nursing experience.
- Internal applicants with less than two years’ experience, but post orientation/90-day probationary period, could be considered with the Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval
- Will consider military RN experience
