About The Position

Provides respiratory assessment, support, treatment or diagnostic test for acute care, emergency room or outpatient as needed.

Associate degree required from an Accredited Respiratory Care Program
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC) to be kept up to date
Respiratory Therapist WA license
BLS
ACLS/PALS/NRP within 90 days
Critical Care Experience
Maintain regulatory requirements
U.S. citizens and lawfully authorized non-U.S. citizens.
Show employment eligibility verification as required by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Provide emergency care, such as artificial respiration, or assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Monitor patient's physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, or blood chemistry changes, and consult with physician if adverse reactions occur.
Obtains ABGs, EKGs and other testing as appropriate.
Set up and operate devices, such as, high flow oxygen, Bipap, mechanical ventilators, environmental control systems, or aerosol generators, following specified parameters of treatment.
Support clinical team regarding area of expertise through training or instruction.
Work as part of a team of physicians, nurses, or other healthcare professionals to manage patient care by assisting with medical procedures or related duties.
Maintain confidentiality of patients' pertinent identification and therapy information.
Documenting, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form to maintain patient records.
Report to work on time and as scheduled; complete work within designated timelines.
Demonstrates the ability to adhere to the mission, ethics and goals of the District.
Demonstrates the ability to communicate with patients, guests and staff in a courteous, respectful and helpful manner.
