About The Position

We are seeking PRN Registered Nurses to join our Nurse Pool, providing flexible coverage across our Birmingham locations. This role is ideal for experienced RNs who thrive in a surgical setting and value teamwork, adaptability, and patient-centered care.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Strong communication skills and a professional, patient-focused demeanor
Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently in a surgical environment
Flexible and willing to float between Birmingham-area practices as needed
Willingness to assist with front office or administrative tasks when required

Nice To Haves

Critical Care, PACU, ER, or Cardiac experience preferred

Responsibilities

Assess patient conditions and apply clinical judgment to adapt to changing needs in real time
Prepare patients for surgical procedures, including administration of local and IV sedation per physician orders
Monitor and evaluate patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively in accordance with facility protocols
Promote patient safety, comfort, and overall well-being throughout the surgical experience
Maintain accurate documentation and utilize computer systems for clinical and administrative tasks
Uphold strict patient confidentiality and compliance with all privacy standards
Provide support across clinical areas and assist other departments as needed
