About The Position

VHC Health is seeking a collaborative and clinically strong Interventional Radiologist to join a comprehensive, growing interventional radiology program providing both inpatient and outpatient services within one of the region’s most respected independent health systems. The incoming physician will join a high-performing Interventional Radiology team providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient procedural services across a broad range of minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. This is a full-time, hospital-based position located on the main VHC Health campus in Arlington, Virginia. The IR program is supported by experienced technologists, dedicated nursing staff, advanced imaging capabilities, and a collaborative procedural environment that continues to expand in both complexity and volume. VHC Health’s Interventional Radiology service works closely with oncology, vascular surgery, hepatology, nephrology, trauma, emergency medicine, and surgical specialties to provide high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the continuum of treatment. The practice offers a broad and diverse case mix with strong procedural volume, advanced imaging and procedural technology, dedicated IR support staff and collaborative operational infrastructure, opportunities to participate in program growth and procedural expansion initiatives, strong multidisciplinary referral relationships across the health system, a collegial physician culture with administrative support, and competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and procedural skills, a patient-centered approach, and interest in contributing to the continued growth and advancement of the Interventional Radiology program.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Interventional Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology (IR/DR)
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Doctorate degree from an accredited medical school
  • One year of medical/surgical experience
  • Licensed to Practice Medicine by the Virginia Department of Health Professions

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients in collaboration with other staff.
  • Support objectives, budget, and performance metrics at the individual level.
  • Support all medical activities at the individual level including implementation of quality control standards, risk management and compliance programs.
  • Provide quality clinical care to those individuals who have chosen VHC Health in a timely manner to meet the needs of our patients.
