Requirements
- Licensed Texas Pharmacist
- Current Pharmacist License in the State of Texas
- License in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP)
- Medication dispensing and therapy management
- Pharmacology expertise
- Knowledge of FDA, DEA, EPA, and Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Legal compliance and documentation standards
- Process management and operational oversight
- Strong verbal communication and analytical skills
- Exceptional clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge
- Strong ethical standards and professional judgment
- Excellent communication and patient counseling skills

- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and interpreting physician medication orders
- Identifying therapeutic incompatibilities and medication concerns
- Preparing, dispensing, packaging, and labeling prescriptions accurately
- Monitoring drug therapies and recommending clinical interventions
- Providing medication counseling and pharmaceutical guidance to patients and healthcare providers
- Supervising and verifying pharmacy technician workflow, prescription processing, and data entry
- Maintaining compliance with all FDA, DEA, EPA, federal, state, and Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Managing controlled substance accountability and pharmacy inventory
- Training and mentoring pharmacy staff, interns, externs, residents, and healthcare professionals
- Supporting infection control standards and maintaining a clean, safe pharmacy environment
- Staying current with continuing education requirements, industry best practices, and regulatory changes
